Editor's review
This is a tool that can transform world-wide spatial coordinate data from one set of standard to another co-ordinate standard.
TRANSDAT helps you with World-wide Coordinate Transformations. TRANSDAT can do these transformations very quickly. Its repertoire includes thousands of world-wide Coordinate Systems. Geodetic Reference Systems and Reference System Transitions (datum shifts), user-defined systems, 2D/3D transformations can be performed with this tool. INSPIRE, NTv2, EPSG, GPS, continental drift and others could also be handled with this tool. Files used by the system for reading data or outputting data could be in Text, CSV, SDF, dBase, Arc-Shape, Arc-Generate, KML and others. Display of coordinates in OpenStreetMap is possible with this tool. ING, BNG und UTMref in several grid mesh sizes are supported by this tool. The data to be used in GIS or Geographical Information Systems are often available in different coordinate standards. This program transforms the spatial data from different data sources and data structures from one coordinate reference system (CRS) to another and if needed to modify the data structure simultaneously.
The current and historical Systems of all the countries of the European Union, the European ETRS89 systems forced by INSPIRE, the Coordinate Reference Systems of Austria and Switzerland incl. NTv2, The German `Lagestatus`n, the German NTv2 Reference System BeTA2007, the special Reference Systems of the German Federal States are some Europe related standards supported by this tool. Some of the other standards supported included are the US and Canadian State Plane Coordinate Systems (SPCS), world-wide NTv2 grid file supported Coordinate Transformations, world-wide used numeric and alphanumeric Coordinate Systems, the Coordinate Reference Systems of most countries of all continents and the Geographic coordinates in different notations and Cartesian coordinates, etc. The user interface is multi-lingual and user selectable. This is an extremely useful program in the GIS related work.
